Ricci La Centra
Applied Materials Engineer
Ricci La Centra received a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing in August 2009 from Boston's Emerson College, and an M.S. in Materials Science Engineering in May 2017 from Boston University. He was employed by BU's Applied Electromagnetics Lab from May 2016 to February 2018, first as a lab assistant and later as a research fellow. Passionate about clean energy technologies, he supported the development and commercialization of a circuit that removes dust from solar arrays and CSP mirrors, water-free. He has experience patterning transparent conductive materials, such as AZO and AgNWs, as well as modifying the optical properties of materials through use of nanoparticles. He is excited and delighted to be undertaking a new challenge in developing a waterless waste-management technology at change:WATER Labs.
