VP Prod. dev/chief product officer

We are looking for an experienced water/sanitation engineer to lead a small technical team developing our off-grid sanitation solutions and potentially join executive team. Responsibilities would include team supervision, leading design progress and reviews, experiment planning, build coordination, overseeing safety and QA/QC, overseeing field deployments and operations, patent drafting support, leading manufacturing/fabrication strategy and managing key technical partnerships and budgets. Previous experience in field engineering, hardware product commercialization/go-to-market and hardware development/scale-up is preferred. Desired skills out-of-the-box thinking, excellent communication skills, people-management skills, agile problem-solving, adaptability to pivot in the face of evolving R&D priorities and market demands, and comfort with fast-paced start-up environment, dedication to our social and sustainability mission.

PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced engineering project manager to lead the operations of our various field pilots and deployments. Experience with working in international field work and/or hardware pilots is preferred. Key responsibilities include proposal development, project timeline and budget management, engagement with project stakeholders and contractors, shipping/logistics, and other associated project operational work. Excellent documentation and communication skills are required. MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a BS or MS-level mechanical or electrical engineer. The position will primarily consist of elements of toilet design, fabrication, assembly and testing of prototype units. The position requires general machine shop experience and proficiency with engineering drawing software. Good documentation practices are essential, and the candidate must feel comfortable working independently and in a team. The position will be a mix of theory and hands-on work. Other desired skills include strong communication skills, out-of-the-box thinking, agile problem-solving, flexibility to pivot to evolving product development trajectories, and comfort with fast-paced start-up environment, dedication to our social and sustainability mission. 

MARKETING/SOCIAL MEDIA/ADMIN

The job will consist of various marketing and administrative support tasks. Some training in marketing or sales preferred but not required. This position has potential to grow into a more diverse marketing and business role. Administrative responsibilities include (but are not limited to) market research, investor relations/communications, customer management, HR, expense tracking, insurance/tax support and crafting of funding proposals and sales/marketing materials, social media and webpage management. Market research tasks may include potential customer phone calls and managing existing contacts. Good documentation practices are essential, and the candidate must feel comfortable working independently and in a team. Other desired skills include out-of-the-box thinking, take-charge attitude, excellent planning and communication skills, agile problem-solving, flexibility, and comfort with fast-paced start-up environment, dedication to our social and sustainability mission.
